Business
method patents protect processes, generally implemented
by computers, that are involved in operating a business
or that define a product or service provided by
a business. Our Business Methods Practice Group
has expertise in the software and hardware searches
for financial, operations, manufacturing, and transaction
systems. Due to the complex nature of business methods,
our professionals often conduct these searches on
the East System on-site at the USPTO. In addition,
we have access to hundreds of trade journals and
publications, allowing us to locate non-patent prior
art, where business methods are frequently disclosed.
